Discussion Items

  • New building/Move to Crescent
    • The district has moved the timeframe up to get teachers into rooms at Crescent View sooner. Bins and unused classroom materials can start moving into actual classrooms instead of just being stored on the stage.
    • Some of our classrooms might be done in December. A wall needs to be built in one of the 1st grade classrooms.
    • 100-200K to move the playground.  Coach Renee will go over to check to see what we can do — 4 square or other playground games/activities.
    • SCC would like to see about doing parent nights. It was suggested that a virtual tour would be helpful for parents.
    • The school will provide a field trip for students in March before spring break where they can go see everything with their teachers. Students will be able to bus/car drop off, line up spots, classroom, etc.
    • Will the crossing guard still be available at 1500 E and 8600 S if the bus stop is there.
    • Most of the parent concerns are regarding transportation. The district will try to get a schedule/map out ASAP. Leslie will be meeting with transportation before the holiday.  A map has been created showing students outside of the boundaries for reference.
  • Safety Plan
    • SNAP Plan – Reviewed by SCC. Changes from last year: Mesa Drive sidewalks installed, so that request was eliminated. Request for sidewalk on south side of 8425 S added.
    • Emergency Evacuation Plan – we will need to build a new one for Crescent View.
      • Jessica Dalton to meet with Leslie and Kelly to go look at the church building for the current evacuation plan.
      • Emily Tippetts can also get access to the building.
    • Safe Schools walking route (required by the district).
      • Question about a stop sign on Mesa Drive. Erin Ence may be a good resource to ask. Information will be collected and be added to the plan.
    • Digital Citizenship
      • Healy is the facilitator. Currently being trained.
    • School data
      • New Data after January 6th and 7th after district benchmark testing.
    • Budget review
      • Funding is on track to be able to pay assistants through the end of the year.
      • Land Trust: Substitute budget may or may not be used for Professional Development Days due to Covid and lack of substitutes. This funding can be transferred to another designated category
      • TSSP: There were errors in the allocation categories. Accounting is fixing the budget and it will be corrected for January. The budget is on track for expected expenditures.
    • Action Items
      • Cell tower funds: goes into the Principals account. It is used for staff morale (dinner at PTC, etc) . Funds received: $1,868.  Motion from Leslie Jewkes to move into the Principals Account. Second: Ali Woodward. Unanimously approved.
