HILL HAVEN LANE IS ONE DROP-OFF/PICK-UP SITE FOR PERUVIAN PARK ELEMENTARYIn order to improve safety procedures for our students and decrease waiting time for parents, please follow the procedures below. Always move forward as far as possible before stopping to let students exit/enter the car.

DROP-OFF/PICK UP ZONE 1 – Hill HAVEN
1. To drop off your child, please pull into the far-right red lane. STUDENTS MUST EXIT CARS FROM THE RIGHT SIDE ONLY ONTO THE SIDEWALK as soon as the car is safely stopped. They should immediately move to the fence “safety zone” to walk to the stairs leading to the playground. As you leave the drop-off lane, you will immediately move to the left into the thru lane. Do not drive through the drop-off lane to exit.  Please check for approaching traffic as you exit the lane. Pull forward whenever possible. As gaps open up in the drop-off lane, more cars will be able to pull forward into the empty spots.

BE AWARE OF STUDENTS CROSSING THE STREET AND OTHER CARS IN THE THRU LANE AS YOU EXIT. Please drive at 5 MPH until clearing the areas where children are present.

2. DO NOT STOP in the thru lane to let your child out of your car. NO STUDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXIT CARS IN THE THRU LANE.  The thru lane will ONLY be used for cars driving beyond the school and those leaving the drop-off lane.

3. The drop-off lane may not to be used to park your car and is marked as a red zone. You must remain in your car to pull into this lane.  If you wish to enter the school or walk with your child, please park elsewhere.  **No U-TURNS are allowed on Hill Haven Lane.

AFTER SCHOOL
4. At dismissal time, students will stand against the fence in the “safety zone” until they see their car stop.  Please pull all the way forward and let your child come to you. They will then enter the car from the passenger side only.  No children will be allowed to cross through traffic, even with a parent escort.
